Two volumes about China from the well known book set: Sacred Books and Early Literature of The East, published in 1917. These two books are in very good condition. They appear unread as there are quite a few uncut pages. The text blocks in both books are very clean with no marks, tears, etc.. 800+ pages total of the two. Bindings are very good. The gilded text block tops are clean, bright, and shiny. Exteriors have no real shelf wear. Both volumes have some minor wear/chipping at the spine cover ends. There’s a pic. 2500 of the sets were printed in 1917 and finding copies in good condition has become difficult. Philosophy, religion, myth, poetry.... There's a good portion of each in these books along with a handful of illustrations.
